Wiki Billing for PA-C

I understand incident to but need to know if our certified PA can see new patients under medicare. Does the doctor need to be in the office, building, or not at all. I am in Kentucky, any idea on private insurances. Of course she has her own NPI and we bill for her as first assist to surgery when we can and get paid by most insurances. Would this carry over to office visits also?

you will want to check with your states medicare, however, I was told at last years AAPC conference that mid-level providers are able to see new patients, however their own NPI and medicare number should be used. With the commercial carriers, it would depend on which acknowledge the mid-level providers...
