I need help, with the new 2011 code book, CPT codes 64483 and 64484 now include the fluoroscopic guidance 77003 so this code can no longer be billed. We have a group of doctors that are wanting to up the price of the injection procedure 64483 and 64484 to make up for not being able to bill 77003. We have told them that the RVU's for the 64483 and 64484 are set up to include the 77003 but they don't want to take our word for it.
Am I completely off base, can they charge a higher price? Please point me in the direction of some black and white info to provide them on how to properly bill this service.
