Which CPT code is the most appropriate for a patient who had a consult done by one of our docs who is a non-ER physician if the patient is NOT Medicare.

Is it appropriate to use the 99221-99223 series?

99241-99245 are appropriate CPT codes for Outpatient Observations/Consultations for Non-Medicare patients.
