My doctors want to know if it is ok to bill a new patient office code along with a cystoscopy also performed that day. I think it is ok and we have been doing it but lately Humana Medicare is denying the office call even with the 25 modifier on it. I don't see how the doctor can see a new patient and not do enough to warrant a 25 modifier. Does anyone else bill cystos or other procedures along with new patient office calls?
