Patient came in for a neurostim check, currently on program 4 at 5.9 amplitude. The office was unable to sync remote with patient programmer due to malfunction,so demonstrated to patient how to alter the strength, and she is returning the following day to have the rep assist in syncing devices. The patient presented the following day to sync her patient programmer to the clinician programmer. The office billed 95972 with the date of service when the patient initially presented. Would this be the correct billing date although the sync was not complete until the following day?

95972

Electronic analysis of implanted neurostimulator pulse generator system (eg, rate, pulse amplitude, pulse duration, configuration of wave form, battery status, electrode selectability, output modulation, cycling, impedance and patient compliance measurements); complex spinal cord, or peripheral (ie, peripheral nerve, sacral nerve, neuromuscular) (except cranial nerve) neurostimulator pulse generator/transmitter, with intraoperative or subsequent programming, first hour
