I need some help, I posted this question for my OBGYN billers/coders and nobody could help me. Patient came into the office after having a Diag Laparoscopy, ABC coagulation of endometriosis, Minilaparotomy and Myomectomy. Can I bill for the removal of a Pediatric Foley Catheter or is it part of the global surgery?

Yes, my Dr. did the surgery. Sorry, I forgot to post that information.

Foley removal is part of the global for the myomectomy, 90 post op period.

Chp. VII CPT codes 50000-59999 of the NCCI Policy revised 01/01/2017 under Section C 1.
Insertion of urinary bladder cath is a component of a global surgical package. So removal
would not be billable since insertion is not billable. Hope that helps
