The doctor was doing a bilater lumbar RF. After completing the right side he injected Bupivicaine at the base of the S1 SAP without difficulty but when he moved to the upper end of the SAP patient had continuing pain so he elected to stop the procedure.
My question is do I code a bilateral discontinued procedure or do I just code for right side and leave it at that?
