I am beginning to code for a new Ortho Surgeon in our area and would appreciate any advice you experienced coders have on what the best reference coding books are for this specialty.

Thank you!

Personally, I love the Ingenis Coding Companion books. They have 2 volumes ;
Orthopaedics- Upper: Spine and Above
Orthopaedics- Lower: Hips and Below

I like " A Manual of Orthopaedic Terminology" by Dr. Fred R.T.Nelson, MD, FAAOS and Carolyn Taliaferro Blauvelt.

It's great help if you are unsure of a term or procedure. I use it all the time.:)
