Likely peripheral neuropathy.I'm in Oncology...we give B12 as IM injections because patients have a B12 deficiency, a B12 deficiency-related anemia or because they're getting pemetrexed. What is the medical necessity for the podiatrist giving B12 shots?
Can anybody provide any guidance regarding B12 shots in podiatry? How is this billed, administered, and reimbursement. I could not find a specific Medicare guidance.

Medicare may cover it; I hope your office had the patient sign an ABN though.
