Looking for input on billing for Aveed - a testosterone medication. Patient comes to the office for an injection and then MUST stay in the office for 30 minutes for observation. We are thinking that if we bill a nurse visit 99211 plus a 99354 for prolonged services with the code for the medicine itself, which currently is J3490, it will maximize our reimbursement. Any thoughts?
