Wiki Auto Accident in Kansas - fracture

Hello,

I have a patient that was in an auto accident in Kansas on 1/15/15 fracture his tibil plateau. Had ORIF on it.

Then moved back to Pennsylvania and followed up with us for the fracture.

Diagnosis: Healing Tibial Plateau Fracture - Status Post ORIF with associated foot drop. Rt shoulder Adhesive Capsulitis - Status Post dislocation

Since this occured in Kansas and surgery was done in Kansas - how would I code this?

Would I code the Adhisive Capuslitis and the Foot Drop with a straight E/M code only or would I also code a V-code for Aftecare?

Any suggestions are ver much Appreciated.

I would code the foot drop and then a late effect of fracture code from category 905. And the adhesive capsulitis with a late effect dislocation code from category 905 as well. There is in addition a late effect code for the transport accident if you need it.
