Can you charge for a urinalysis if a urine sample was taken but could not be tested due to contamination? The test was for a UTI. Also, a urine pregnancy test was done with the sample and completed.
The basic rule of thumb is "If is wasn't documented, it wasn't done" therefore, you can't bill for it.
So if a UA wasn't done, then no, you can't bill for a UA because it wasn't done, you don't have results to document.
