I need help please! One of my doctors did an arthroscopic subacromial decompression.
After the SAD was performed, "a limited open approach was performed to attempt further mobilization of the rotator cuff. The tissue was friable and was not approximatable. The wounds were copiously irrigated and closed in layered fashion..."
How should I code the RTC? Can it be billed at all? Would I use a 53 modifier? Any help is appreciated.
