Does any one have physicians that like to bill for an assistant on S&I codes? IF so, do they get paid with supporting documentation? What does your physician state why they need the extra help for those parts?
Any S&I code I bill for has a -0- indicator which states - Payment restrictions for assistants at surgery applies to this procedure. I never try to bill for them with this indicator.
