Wiki aspirin use

the answer is a V code there is nothing else, Why would you not want a V code just because it is Medicare? Long term or current aspirin use is V58.6- but it is a secondary code so the real question is what is the reason for the encounte. If it is to check their blood due to being on aspirin then you use the V58.83 and the V58.6- secondary, this does work for Medicare. Remember the diagnosis is the patient's not Medicare, they cannot not accept V codes but they can indicate what dx are considered medically indicated for certain procedures/test/services.
