We had an ASD closure where one cardiologist performed the ICE (93662) and another cardiologist did the actual closure (93580). We submitted to Medicare 2 individual claims for the 2 separate physicians. Medicare is denying this claim as only one physician can be used. Would a modifier be appropriate? If so, which procedure should get the modifier?
