I have worked at 2 different ASC's in the past and we always billed our CPT codes with a 490 revenue code for ASC's and we would bill implants under 278 revenue code. We did not bill general supplies or drugs as it was bundled being that we were billing for a freestanding ASC. I just started employment at a new freestanding ASC and they are billing for supplies and drugs used and using revenue code 360 for the procedures. Is this correct? I feel that it is not.
They also use HCPCS code C1713 when billing for a plate being implanted. I would normally use L8699 for the plate as no other HCPCS seems to fit. C1713 just looks to be for anchors and/or screws.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Olivia
