So far, I know I need to bill a 29881, but I'm not sure if I need to add another code, I'm still a little rusty on the orthopaedic terms. So if you can help, please, and thank you in advance. :0)
...Inspection of the posterior horn medial meniscus revealed a complex tear. It was necessary to resect approximately 10% of the inner edge of the meniscus secondary to the irregularity and friability. Horizontal cleavage tear was then noted all the way back to the posterior capsule. This was debrided, and then the Ultra Fast-Fix x5 was used to provide vertical mattress closure of this tear.
I'm thinking the other is bundled to this code, but I want other more experienced ortho opinions to be on the safe side. Thanks!
