Can you bill for an new arthrodesis code (22614) on a patient you are doing a surgery on that has had a previous arthrodesis at the same level? .

I don't see any reason why not. My guess is that there is going to be a complication at that level like hardware failure. There is going to be a reason for it, and that will need to be reflected in the ICD.10.

22614 is an add on code. Can never be primary. You would bill primary fusion code with appropriate modifier if in global. There is not a revision fusion code so you bill it just like a new one.
