Good Morning,
I work in a Hematology Oncology Office someone told me in an office that is next door to us that we should use D63.0 Anemia in Neoplastic Disease. Our NP'S says in their dictation that this patient has anemia of Chronic Disease due to Refractory Anemia with ring sideroblasts.
Let me add we are giving this patient Procrit and the office next door says Medicare will deny anemia of chronic disease that we should use anemia of Neoplastic disease.
Could someone clarify this for us please?
Thank you
BH
