Can anyone help me? If a doctor is managing a patients anticoagulant meds, via phone or online. Can they charge for that? How would that be billed? I see the 99363/99364 but I don't know if that is only for "in office" or could it be used for online/or phone? Also we got info from a seminar a while back that says you cannot bill for these codes. I'm confused. Thanks

You can bill for those codes, but the verbage for CPT 99364 states it can only be billed once every 90 dyas and must have a minimum of 3 INR measurements -- We have billed this code and the G code for Medicare (which has its own guidelines) for those patients who have home testing, and our physician and NPP manage...it has been getting reimbursed here in Texas....

Good luck and hope this helped! :)
