The provider I work for has seen a patient for 11 prenatal visits, a C-section, and postpartum. We billed for 59510, but the insurance denied it and wants us to bill the antepartum visits separately from the delivery. They want 13 antepartum visits in order to bill global. I always thought patients can be seen at least 4 antepartum visits. I tried to look up the rules in the CPT book and in the ACOG guidelines, but there are no details.
