I'm auditing inpatient e/m. If the problem is considered a "new problem" on day one, is it still considered a new problem through out the inpatient stay.

It is only new to the provider the first time they see the patient for it. So on subsequent days it becomes established stable (1 pt) or established worsening (2 pts).
