My doc is saying he did closed reduction on "distal tibia and distal fibular fx"- he is saying the fractures are just above the ankle, however, he is calling it an ankle fx.
I don't know if I should code shaft fx or bimalleolar? He does not mention either word at all.(shaft or malleolar)
Please help!
