Need to know if the coding on this surgical procedure is correct:
Pre-op diagnosis by another doctor was Bimalleolar fracture.
Surgical procedure by my doctor was:
Open Reduction, internal fixation of unstable left ankle fracture
Dx: Trimalleolar Fracture
I coded as follows:
27814 [bimalleolar fracture] leaving alone the posterior fragment.
27829 [I used for anatomic reduction of syndesmosis with TightRope]
Or is it just 27814?
