The physician documents the following in the ED:

"Examination of the mouth revealed a large cavity in the left lower premolar. This area was anesthetized with with Marcaine 2 ml."

Is this a seperately identifiable procedure, or rolled into E/M? Facial nerve injection?

I would like to know also. I have a physician that has done two injections into the mouth. I called the local dentist and they said it's included in their services, which I assume is a procedure, not just a visit. I am stuck. Does anyone have any knowledge on this?:(
