I'm studying for my CANPC test and understand most of it. I just cannot calculate the time on my calculator. Is there a better way to help me understand this? I am grasping the other parts (Base + Time + PS + QC) x CF = Anesthesia time. I just keep coming up with a different time. It's the military hours that are throwing me 21:27 to 00:18 or something like that. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Ok I get it ... you can't figure it out with a calculator. I'll just use my fingers and toes :). Thanks anyway.

I count up 21:27 to 22:00 is 33 minutes (60-27 = 33) 22:00 to 23:00 is 60 minutes (+60) 23:00 to 00:00 is 60 minutes (+60) 00:00 to 00:18 is 18 minutes (+18)
33+60+60+18 = 171 minutes or 2 hour 51 minutes

Also - if it helps you to think 24:00 instead of 00:00 - that works for me :)

After you calculate, double check and you should be fine.
