Medlearn seeks to add to its team an ASC Coding Hotline Specialist. The main responsibility of this position will be covering one of MedLearn's ASC Coding Hotlines. Other responsibilities include being the speaker for ASC coding-themed webinars/seminars, writing ASC newsletter articles and contributing to MedLearn's popular Compliance Question of the Week.

There is no need for relocation for this position.

The hotline is covered Monday through Friday between the hours of 9AM and 6PM CST. A “Hot-Line� specific cell phone is provided for use by MedLearn. The hotline focuses on ASC related coding, regulatory, billing, and coverage questions. In addition to covering the hotline, a series of ASC topic related webinars will be required to be provided, as well as writing ASC topic newsletter articles and Compliance Question of the Week.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Promptly answering the hotline
• Thoroughly researching hotline questions
• Document references
• Accurately answering hotline questions
• Record all hotline questions in database
• Categorize hotline questions in database
• Create a monthly/yearly report on hotline activity
• Compose ASC educational materials to be presented in webinars
• Assist in creating associated marketing materials for the ASC webinars
• Coordinating webinar schedule
• Apply for associated CE credits for webinars
• Professionally present ASC webinars to an online audience of your peers
• Write ASC newsletter articles and Compliance Question of the Week

Qualified candidates should meet each of the skills listed below:
• Have sound computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access
• Have outstanding customer service/people skills
• Have exceptional communication and verbal skills
• Have good writing skills
• Have previous experience presenting ASC coding material (preferred, not required)
• Must be pleasant and polite to all callers
• Be able to articulate responses to hotline inquiries
• Must be able to work independently without supervision.
• Be able to coherently explain coding concepts and rules in relation to ASC coding

Candidates must have 3-5 years of ASC coding experience. Coding credentials required. A coding test will be required to take on-line prior to an initial phone interview.
