Does anyone have experience billing for Ambulatory detox? This is for an outpatient that regularly bills for PHP & IOP but just recently began trying to seek reimbursements for Ambulatory detox services. I have yet to see any of these claims pay but I am have a particularly difficult time with Florida Blue denying the claim for inappropriate billing when using HCPCS code H0014 and rev. 0944 for drug or 0945 for alcohol. These appear to be the correct codes for Evernorth BH (Cigna) and Magellan but Florida Blue is not accepting this or providing any further information except it does not meet their billing guidelines. However, I can't find any guidelines online specific to this service. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.
