Hello, Can someone assist me in what code to use for the Allograft templating for the attached surgery. Provider has given me 20932 which is not correct. Wondering if unlisted code 27899 is appropriate?

With the foot deformity the bones are out of alignment which seems to have caused an OCD of he talus. If you look at code 20932 it must be paired with at least one of the listed codes. None of the codes for this procedure are on the list. Your going to need to go unlisted with this. I would use 20932 as the comparison.

Hello Orthocoderpgu, I wanted to revisit my question above as this has come up again with the same provider. We did get paid using the unlisted code for 1 out of the 3 patients for the allograft templating. I am thinking 20932 was the correct code all along. I do not see any instruction in the cpt book that states what codes to pair 20932 with as you stated above. Cpt does however state what codes you cannot bill with 20932. Am I missing something?

I'm using the AMA CPT PROFESSIONAL edition with these coding instructions listed. Coding software also has them as well.
