Wiki Allgery Testing and Office visit

Hello Forum.

We have patients that receive their testing in our allergy clinic then see the physician after to review the findings. Is the office visit billable? To me it is not a separate reason.

yes, it's billable list the E/M with -25 and bill the skin test CPT code and you can use the same dx or the chief compliant, under AMA guidelines it is not necessary to used different dx codes. Hope this help!!!.

allergy testing and OV

We do this and we add a modifier 25 the the office visit. This is payable by most insurances. Since there is only one dx (allergy related dx) the insurance "might" want medical records to see if the e/m was applicable. Most of our claims do not need medical records and get paid. Hope this helps
