Wiki Allergy injections with 99211

Hello,

Can you bill a 99211 when a patient comes in for their allergy injections? The patient is supplying the allergy injections from their allergist. The nurse will be giving them the injections, but they want to bill 99211. Should this be done? I feel that since they are already billing 96372 that it is not appropriate to bill the 99211.

99211 must be unrelated to the injections. 99211 should not be reported when the service provided has its own code. The work is covered in the 96372.

Yes you are right! 95115 is what should be billed not the 96372.... The description of 95115 is the professional service for the allergy injection so 99211 would not be appropriate to bill in addition, correct?
