Hi, Our Electrophysiologist explanted a Neurostimulator (that had been implanted in 1999) (and was not used for the past 10 years), because it was in the region where the ICD was to be implanted. And then he implanted an AICD. There was extensive clacification and scarring in the pocket so debridement of the pocket was performed before ICD implant. So does anyone know if we can bill for the Explant of the Neurostimulator (in addition to the AICD implant) and if so, what CPT would be used for the Explant of the Neurostimulator?
