doctor does a surgery for chondromalacia, patient comes in for postoperative visit. Please verify aftercare codes vs followup Z codes? And is there a time frame like there was for ICD9 for aftercare codes?

There is no timeframe the aftercare codes are used if you are still treating the patient for postop issues such as dressing changes etc. follow up implies that the condition no longer exists and is no longer being treated.
