Need some help/knowledge. My Dr. is telling me when he does his cases he is injecting a long acting local medication around the periphery of the mesh, and wants to know if there is a code to bill out. He says this is in addition to the normal Local injections he does. Any Help would be appreciated.

Is this an antibiotic? All pain control done by the surgeon doing the surgery is included.

Not an antibiotic it is a long lasting pain control drug that lasts 72 hours.
