Cancer Center seeking a team player as a Medical A/R Specialist to be responsible for timely claims follow up. We are located in the St. Petersburg/Tampa, FL area.
Requirements:
Minimum experience of 2 years in the Healthcare field.
Shall consistently ensure the confidentiality, security and safety of patient billing records and comply with the requirements of HIPAA.
Skillfully create and maintain spreadsheets.
Must be efficient in handling denied claims and billing secondary insurances.
Courteous in accepting other job duties as assigned.
Exhibits the ability to manage time well and work under deadlines.
Demonstrates the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Have basic understanding of billing software, knowledge of Business Math and ability to work independently.
Have knowledge and experience using Excel and Word software.
Displays the ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with other employees and insurance representatives.
Key Functions:
• Responsible for identifying and communicating issues or trends that prohibits and/or delays reimbursements to the department manager
• Excellent computer, multi-tasking and phone skills
• The ability to work well under pressure (most of the paperwork is time sensitive)
• Requires the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written; and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• TEAM PLAYER and willing to be cross trained in other job duties
