Wiki A plyoric ulcer with anemia,does that mean it was bleeding?

Hi,
Pt. had an EGD for iron deficiency anemia, we did find a pyloric channel ulcer. The physician does not state whether this is an acute or chronic ulcer.

At the end of the report, he states "my clinical impression is that the pyloric channel ulcer is the source of the patient's anemia."

Does this mean the ulcer was bleeding?
