I discovered that Medicare will now cover codes 99358 and 99359 with proper documentation and necessity. My main question is... Can the time the providers spend doing extensive record review, contact with other physicians, etc be on DIFFERENT days from each other? I have seen mixed information. Like can Dr. Happy review a pile of records that came in for a patient today for 20 minutes.... can that doc see the patient in a few days for an office visit.... and then what if they spend an additional 15 minutes a day AFTER that appt reviewing additional records/paperwork that may have come in after or that the patient brought with them? Are we able to bill, with accurate documentation, regarding the time spent before AND after?

Any help is very much appreciated!
