Is anyone being paid for 99174?
We are a pediatrics office and as part of a preventative visit we perform a vision screen using the Welch Allyn suresight vision screener. We bill out cpt 99174 with an appropriate ICD-9, but thus far we only have been paid by one company, most payors are denying as not a covered benefit or experimental.
Did we waste our money on buying this machine?
