I am studying the exam portion of the online E&M.
There is one question I am having.
The seminar states that most payers will let you choose either a Body Area or Organ system but not both in the exam. I'm fine with that.
But there is one example that I know needs to be counted, but I guess I'm not following the organ vs body area.
One of the elements of the example is the abdomen. This is officially a body area.
But in the example of the 97 example, it has the abdomen listed as part of the gastrointestinal organ system.
I'm ok with it being part of the GI portion of the exam. But since this is counted as the GI and not a body area, when then, is the abdomen considered a body part and would not be counted in the organ exam.
If needed the other portions of the exam are all Organ - Psych, ENMTx2, Respiratory, and cardio.
