I need clarification!
If a patient is in for an office call say 99213 and they recieve 3 different meds by injection, can we bill 96372x3?

I have documentation from hcpro.com that states if the physician orders 1 dose of medication to be admin. IM or SQ and the volume required for this dose exceeds the amount recommended for a single injection, so the nurse divides it into two injections. In this case, they are saying it's ok to bill 96372x2. They also state that CMS has not published MUE limits for 96372. If this is correct, I'll have to have the medical assistants write down how many syringes they use, as I don't know what meds can be combined into one administration. If anyone has more information with a listing of the source for the information, I would greatly appreciate it!
