can someone help with this code being denied. In 2013 we charged 93653 and 93623 and now medicare is either taking their money back or didn't pay at all. I remember reading someone that is would retro back to Jan 2013 and is payable.

Any help would be appreciated.

In conjunction with recent corrections to the CPT codes for EP study-ablations, on July 1, 2013 the National Correct Coding Initiative will delete reimbursement code-pair edits that currently prohibit payment for CPT code 93623 (drug infusion for stimulation and pacing) when billed with the ablation codes 93653-93657. The deletions will be retroactive to January 1, 2013.
As part of HRS?s efforts to achieve code corrections in CPT 2013, the Society also worked with NCCI to remove the code bundles when they were published in late 2012. NCCI was cautious to remove the edits until the CPT Panel published its errata/technical correction. On April 16, NCCI staff notified the Society of the upcoming deletions. Bundling edits are revised quarterly. Due to logistics related to the bundling software, the changes cannot be made prior to July 1, 2013.
Until the deletion of the bundling edits on July 1, physicians can:
1) submit claims with all relevant codes and request that they are reprocessed after July 1 to receive the payment balance or
2) choose to postpone submitting claims until after July 1.
