Can I bill 93567 (with LHC) when the note states:
"A 6-French pigtail catheter was advanced across the aortic valve into the left
ventricle. Left ventriculography was performed using prior injection of
contrast. Catheter withdrawn across the aortic valve under pressure
monitoring. Aortography was performed using prior injection of contrast.
Catheter was then removed."
The part that's throwing me is "prior" injection of contrast??
I'm also questioning the reason it was done, this was the result:
C. AORTOGRAPHY:
Aortography reveals a normal-sized aortic root, arch and descending aorta.
The aortic valve is trileaflet. There is moderate aortic insufficiency seen.
There is no evidence for aortic aneurysm or dissection.
