Is modifier 53 appropriate on this code. Also, Can 93351 be done in an IP place of servce?

If you meet the criteria for attaching mod 53. You may attach modifier 53 to a terminated surgical or diagnostic procedure which threatens the well being of the patient or due to extenuating circumstances.

POS - I don't see why not. I mean if the patient has been admitted then surely you would have to do it IP. Otherwise, we schedule our patients OP for diagnostic testing.
