hi I have a question is anyone having a hard time getting paid with vision therapy code and dx H55.81? If you can let me know where I can get information on this cpt code with specific payers I would appreciate it. Also does anyone know about contact lenses and Medicaid They are not paying an V codes like V2531, v2599 or v2523. Thank you

Can't answer your VT question but on the contacts for Medicaid, they don't pay for cosmetic contact lenses or fittings. Those are out of pocket to the patient.

The exceptions to that would be if a patient has keratoconus or has had a corneal transplant and needs contacts in order to get a functional level of vision. In those cases, you should probably get preauthorization in writing before you fit those patients.
