Hi Everyone! I have 2 questions: 1. What are the maximum amount of units that can be billed for an 88305? I have seen articles saying maximum of 8 for gastrointestinal biopsies and 16 for prostate biopsies. I have not found anything from Medicare or AAPC directly. Question2: What is considered 1 unit? Is it by location or by biopsy. Example: Doctor took 5 biopsies from 3 locations. Would you bill 88305 x3 or 88305 x5? Help please!
