CM in our dept wants to bill J3490 with 86580, stating the J3490 is for the Tuberculin, and that the description of 86580 does not include the product so it is supported to bill for. I disagree with this form of billing and as a pediatrics biller have never billed this way, and I know several other pediatric billers who do not either. Has anyone ever billed this way?
