Hello,
I realize that Medicare regulations state that labs/EKG's that are performed within 72 hours prior to an inpatient stay/surgery, those charges must be attached to that claim. How about outpatient surgery? What if the preop labs/EKG are performed within 72 hours of the outpatient surgery? Are those charges attached to the surgery claim?
