Our doctor did bilateral myringotomies with placement of T-tubes (69436). He also cleared a significant amount of serous fluid from both middle ear spaces. Code 69205 is listed as the second procedure, but this is for foreign body removal. Am I correct in saying that the serous fluid removal cannot be billed separately even though there was a significant amount? If you can bill, what code would you use?
