Our spine doctors are performing 63030 in the ASC and we are receiving denials for this now. Has anyone came across this? We cannot find this on the ASC payable list. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks so much!
63030 is not on the ASC Medicare allowable list however some insurances will pay for it. It is best to presect the code before performing procedure. We have gotten payment from many commerical insurances. Do your contracts include this coding?
Thanks so much for your reply. I know as of right now we have someone reviewing our contracts and will most likely be redoing them. I will add this to their list. I think most of our denials right now are Medicare.
